Description
L’Atelier des 1000 is delighted to offer for sale this superb Triumph TR4, presented in a particularly desirable configuration with its British Racing Green finish paired with a black and white houndstooth cloth interior.
Launched in 1961 and designed by the famed coachbuilder Giovanni Michelotti, the TR4 succeeds the TR3 and marks a major evolution for Triumph’s roadster lineage.
With its more modern lines, increased interior space and improved comfort, it manages to combine British elegance with accessible sportiness. Its instantly recognisable style and playful character have made it one of the most appreciated models in the TR range.
The mechanics run correctly, the ignition system has recently been replaced and the set-up is satisfactory.
The gearbox engages and synchronises its gears correctly, while the clutch performs its role effectively, showing no signs of wear.
The running gear offers healthy handling, the steering is precise and the suspension fulfils its function perfectly.
Braking is healthy and balanced.
The chrome-wire wheels are in excellent condition and are fitted with tyres in good condition as well.
The paintwork offers a fine lustre and contrasts wonderfully with the upholstery.
The chromes are sparkling and enhance the bodywork.
As for the interior, it is presented in excellent condition. The black and white houndstooth upholstery adds a distinctive and refined touch.
The white dashboard, typical of the early series, is presented in good condition.
