It was imported from the States in 2016 and is fully UK compliant. The headlights and software for conversion back to a country requiring dipping to the right is included.
The sale includes a personalized coffee table book recording its manufacture, and a scale model. The registration number is available by separate negotiation.
It won an award as the best older supercar at the Stonor Supercar event (2017 I think, 200 cars present)
Its a fabulous car which is a great pleasure to drive. It always gets a lot of attention. The car was manufactured in 2001 and exported to the US at a time when the American demand of Z8s was enormous. The owner moved around a bit but didn't put many miles on it. I purchased it from a BMW main dealer in New York in 2016. It arrived in the UK later that year and fog lights, headlights etc were converted to UK specs. All duties were paid. The first thing I did was to scrap the run-flat tyres which were standard on these cars. The small valve which makes the 1st to 2nd gearchange slightly jerky was modified by Grosvenor Motors, BMW independent to compliment the otherwise excellent gearbox. They also changed the rear brake callipers which had been cosmetically corroded by brake cleaner. The rear view mirror was restored in more recent times.
The car is stored in a clean dry car storage facility near my home and can be examined at short notice.
