For sale is my 1998 BMW 740iL (Long Wheelbase)
Early facelift model, so has the rare amber front and rear lights
4. 4 V8
Aspen Silver - Same colour as seen in the James bond movie Tomorrow Never Dies - Fun fact, the actual car used in the move was a 740iL badged as a 750iL!)
I have had this now for a number of years, and in summer 2024 this was my wedding car! A lot of work and love has gone into the car, as it was sat for around 10 years before I bought it
Work during my ownership includes, but is not limited to:
* Serviced with Shell Helix oil
* Bosch oil and air filters
* BC Racing RM-MA Coilvers (worth > £1000 - only done around 3000 miles on these)
* QH Water pump
* OEM 88 degree thermostat and resistor
* OEM coolant
* Brake pads, discs and sensors all round
* Aux belt
* Radiator
* OEM battery
* Rocker cover gaskets
* Refurbished fuel tank (the proper 95 litre tank that is fitted to LWB models)
* Replacement gearbox which was serviced before install
* ABS module refurb
* Headlining fully refurbished
* Replacement sunroof casette with sunroof motor
* M Parallel alloys with nearly new tyres all round, the wheels have been refurbished in a stunning silver metallic, they have a subtle glittery shine and look amazing
Spec includes:
* 2 original BMW telephones (front and rear)
* Electric sunroof
* Air Con (working ice cold)
* Fully electric memory front seats, including electric headrests
* Fully electric rear seats, including electric headrests
* Electric rear blind
* Manual side blinds
* Illuminated door handles
* Cruise control
* Front and rear parking sensors
Good service history, obviously there is a 10 or so year gap from when it was off the road, however, there is very good history up to that gap, and I also have most records of work done in my ownership
A lot of love. money and work has gone into this car during my ownership, it turns heads everywhere I go and has so much road presence (especially being a LWB)
A good chunk of the work was done by 777 Garage (a well known E38 specialist/ Youtuber)
It's not a perfect car, some negatives to note include:
* The instrument cluster needs replacing due to being glitchy, however, I have a replacement cluster to go with the car. If I can get the replacement cluster fitted and coded before the sale I will do so
* Radio MID display is pixelated, again if I get the time before sale I will try and find a replacement one and fit it
* One of the rear door small blinds needs fixing or replacing
Will be very sad to see it go, especially given that it was my wedding car, however, I need to trim down some of my collection now in order to free up funds for other projects
Cheap to insure on classic car insurance, and surprisingly decent on fuel too!

The advertised price is for the car as it is with the M Parallel wheels, however, I can let the car go cheaper if the buyer would prefer Style 5 alloys (I can also do a deal to supply the buyer with the Style 5's in addition to the car)
