Fantastic Dodge pickup with 73 years of natural patina but lots of recent mechanical work done.
Imported from North Oregon Desert in 2017 I am the second registered UK owner.
Dodge B3B Job Rated pickup with 5 window Pilot-house cab for better vision.
218 ci flathead 6 with 4 speed manual box (first gear is really just a crawler gear).
The first UK owner put £24k into the truck, including- Comprehensively rebuilt engine, over hall of gearbox, brakes, carburettor, suspension , 12 volt conversion, new Alternator, external oil filtration system added, new timber bed, new glass all round except quarter lights, newly recovered leather bench seat and door cards and lots of other bits and pieces done.
I got this for my wife and we’ve had it 3 years but it doesn’t get much use as the steering is too heavy for her. The truck has the original manual steering and brakes and foot starter, it drives like an old truck not a modern car.
Lap belts added. Ancillary temp gauge and oil pressures gauge added.
Things that are still needed- parking brake needs attention or adjustment as non functional (not investigated), fuel gauge doesn’t work and speedo not connected as was said to be noisy but i have not tested.
We really have too many other old cars to justify keeping this so willing to move on to next owner at a loss.
