Electric windows, retractable adjustable halogen headlamps, bright finish door handles, colour coded bumpers outer mirrors and mud guards, remote fuel lid opener, manual folding black canvas soft top, rear tonneau, side impact beams, suspension brace bar, tachometer, oil pressure gauge, interior light, cigar lighter and ashtray, locking glovebox, locking centre storage box, Mazda transponder immobiliser.

Modifications: Pioneer Bluetooth Digital Media receiver head unit, model MVH-X360BT replaced factory fitted option.
EXTERIOR
This factory standard and late UK Mazda MX-5 is finished in stunning Classic Red, (Code SU), the vehicle has been kept out of direct sunlight as much as possible to maintain the paint finish which is almost as good as it was when it came out the factory.
Garaged for most if not all of its life, with dry weather use only, the amazing condition extends to excellent underside condition, factory stickers remain affixed to the door apertures. This wonderful example is rust free round the original seals and wheel arches which is often a problem for some UK cars.
All trim, exterior rubbers, glass, lights, and badges are in order and the supplying dealer number plates remain fitted.
The windows are correctly security coded and the original black canvas hood is immaculate with the fully intact Perspex rear screen is original which is showing only light marks.
INTERIOR
All original, the seats are trimmed in Black Cloth upholstery (Code NA3), and this interior remains precisely as Mazda intended. The seats have been preserved both by the minimal use with one small hole to passenger seat lumbar covering that has been repaired to match original seat colour.
Carpets have been protected by MX5 carpet mats and minimal use.
All other trim and dash are in exceptional condition.
The original wheel brace, jack and toolkit are all present along with the tonneau.
ENGINE, EXHAUST & GEARBOX
The lightweight 1. 8 litre 16v DOHC engine with 130 bhp available and runs just like it should.
The factory exhaust system remains fitted and in good condition. The engine bay is exceptionally clean with factory plates and stickers intact.
The close ratio five speed gearbox provides short and positive gear changes just like it did when new and provides a joyful driving experience.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
This unmodified example has the original dealer fitted 14-inch 5 spoke alloy wheels with correct Mazda centre caps. All the wheels are very good condition and fitted with 185/ 60 R14 tyres with plenty of tread.

This car is sold with an additional set of “S” model 7 spoke MX5 alloy wheels in excellent condition with the appropriate Mazda eternal flame centre caps, if you fancy a change.
OWNERSHIP
Registered new on 22nd December 1997, this late build UK example was supplied by Main Dealer, Beaconsfield Mazda.
It has 2 further registered owners before being purchased by an enthusiast in 2006 who self-serviced and maintained the car to exceptionally high standard with at least annual oil and brake fluid changes, vehicle also garaged during their ownership. I purchased in July 2013 and have serviced at regular intervals ever since, Cambelt replaced again at 16, 000 miles and battery replaced late last year.
