Description
I've had this car 10 years now, i've done 15k miles in that time. garaged during my ownership. Maintained annually combination of garage or myself depending on the time I had available or work needing done. Lots of other work done, including complete respray in 2022, sills sorted etc... paper works extends back to 1998. Original manual and service booked stamped till 2002 then bills there after. Has some surface corrosion re-appear on wheel arches. Other jobs need done; drivers electric window. I dismantled and haven't the time to finish. All of the mazda parts to do so, just a time thing. Ignition key snapped off in ignition, I haven't managed to extract it yet. No issue starting it though. Hood in decent order but split in window. Tyres all in good order. Stainless steel, mazda parts exhaust fitted. I have had a great deal of fun with this car, just need the space now, too many toys.... Price reflects the jobs that need done, so bear that in mind, so I won't be dropping it. These are my thoughts not a cut and paste - For those that have never owned an MX5 and in particular the MK1, you are missing out. I highly recommend owning one of these wee cars at some point. Not super fast but you have a heck of a lot of fun. Very easy and forgiving to drive. Sweet gear box and a very free revving 1. 6 twin cam under the bonnet. Red is definetaly the best colour, in my humble opinion. Easy to work on and cheap to run.
