Rover 75 Connoisseur SE Automatic 2. 5 V6 – Stunning Early Example
Reluctantly selling my exceptional early Cowley-built Rover 75 Connoisseur SE Automatic, finished in beautiful White Gold Metallic with an ultra-rare Aubergine Interior, aubergine Leather, and Cream Piping. It sits on 17-inch Serpent Alloy Wheels and features classic Burr Walnut , a truly striking combination I’ve never seen on another 75.
This is a low-mileage, well-maintained example, first registered in November 1999—The car is in fantastic condition inside, outside, mechanically, and even underneath, a real testament to its previous owners.
Maintenance & History
Full leather Rover Book Pack & Operating Manuals, plus two keys present.
Comprehensive history with invoices for major maintenance carried out by MG Rover Repair of Coventry, totaling over £4000.
Recent key work includes:
- Full cambelt replacement, water pump, tensioners & pulleys (Aug 2022, 45K miles).
- New brake pipes (May 2023).

It’s such a nice car but it’s just not for me unfortunately. I’ve always had warm hatches but got this to reflect my 50th birthday, but in my head I’m still 21!
Would consider a Rover 200 GTI, BRM maybe in some sort of deal.
This is a lot of car for not a lot of money and these in decent spec are becoming harder to find. It’s bloody beautiful with a smooth V6 lump. My wife calls it the BTEC Bentley. It’s a real cruising car in luxury and style.
Car has not been imported, written off and has no structural damage.
