PEUGEOT 203 Saloon 1960 The 203 was a mid-sized car produced by PEUGEOT between 1948 and 1960. Only presented in 1947 at the Paris Motor Show, the car had been in development for over five years. The delay was due to a shortage of raw materials, a situation that was rectified in 1948 and deliveries began in 1949. The 203 was the first PEUGEOT model to be launched after the Second World War. During its twelve years of production, almost 700, 000 units of various models rolled off the production line in Sochaux, France. Between the withdrawal of the 202 in 1949 and the launch of the 403 in 1955, the 203 was the only model produced by Peugeot. The last Peugeot 203 rolled off the production line at Sochaux on 25 February 1960. Three months later, at the end of May, the model was withdrawn from the price list. The car was registered in Portugal in 1953, was restored by its then owner some four years ago and has barely been driven since. In recent weeks, it has undergone some necessary corrections and is in excellent condition in terms of bodywork, interior and mechanics. Private vehicle in depot for sale.
