Description
This is a 1973 Series 3 LAND ROVER 109" SAFARI 12 seater Station Wagon.
This Landy must surely be unique in that it has only done a documented 18890 miles from new and has the very rare six cylinder 2625cc petrol engine. This was a significant upgrade from the 2. 25L four cylinder option, with increased torque and has a lovely exhaust note. it's also fitted with free wheel hubs and Fairey overdrive, making longer journeys sufferable!
The interior seating, mats and headlining are in excellent condition, the paint.. factory original. A possible entry for a preservation class concours?
The six cylinder model was specially developed for the South African market, but it seems that this Home Market example escaped export, with only two private owners from new.
Road fund tax exempt of course.
MOT tested until March 2026 with no advisories..
New tyres all round including the spare.
A full service including all oils, filters, coolant hosesetc was completed by The Classic Collective, Bicester at a cost of £2275 in March 2025
