First registered February 2003 (52 Reg) my Jaguar XKR has the benefit of the improved 4. 2 Litre engine that was made available for the 2003 Model Year which was launched mid 2002. With just over 54, 000 miles recorded this car is finished in midnight black with warm charcoal interior and birds eye maple veneers.
As standard the car was equipped with; Headlamp Powerwash, Xenon Headlights, Drivers and Front passenger Electrically Adjustable Heated Seats with Driver Memory, CATs Adaptive Damping, Cruise Control, CD Auto-changer and Power-fold Mirrors.
This highly specified car was also ordered with the following options; 20 inch Detroit BBS Alloy Wheels, Interior Compass, Premium Sound System, Recaro Sport Seats, Air Particle Filter, Heated Front Windscreen, R Leather Steering Wheel & Gear Shift, Aluminium Pedals and Instruments and Satellite Navigation. It was also fitted with an in car telephone which still resides in the centre console.
In addition to all the above, when purchased new this car was sent to the Arden Styling House, for those not familiar with Arden they were to Jaguar what Overfinch are to Range Rover these days. The Arden upgrades to this car include; Lowered Sports Suspension, Revised Nose Cone, Side Skirts, Deeper Rear Valance, Revised Tail Light Treatment, Big Bore Exhaust and Body Coloured Fibreglass Tonneau Cover.
Put all the above together and the result is a fantastic looking car which attracts a lot of attention and is probably a unique "one off". Testament to how special the car is comes from the envious attention it receives from other XKR owners. Drives like a new car and draws massive attention, with a style and beauty all of its own.
The car is kept in a heated garage and is completely rust free.
The current MOT expires June 2026, sailed through the latest test with no advisories. The Jaguar Service Record is present with the car and shows Main Dealer services recorded at: 7, 000 miles; 18, 000 miles; 25, 000 miles; 32, 200 miles; 36, 250 miles; 41, 200 miles; 43, 800 miles. From 2014 to date there have only been a handful of miles added to the car but nonetheless regular services have been carried out by the same specialist garage.
