Description

Mini Rally Homage SWAP WHY - looking to swap for a camper or anything interesting.
This is a red 1995 Classic Mini 1275cc fuel injected Sprite model which has a MOT until Feb 2026. The car was restored a few years ago by its previous owner and I have lots of photos showing what was done - new front end a pillars sills all of the usual places.
Mileage is 85k comes with every single MOT - will go up as I do drive it.
It comes with a comprehensive history file with hundreds of documents and receipts including the original receipt and books. I have had the car a few months and created a rally homage.
The private plate makes it look like a 1969 car and will be included previously this was a M reg. The car is a 1275 SPI and still has the original engine. The engine is good and strong and looks like it has been well maintained. The gearbox is also all good and it pulls like a little train. The car does not come with any Rover security so no immobiliser or alarm problems - this could be the last one before they blighted them all with terrible security that causes no end of grief. I have bonded a fake filler to the offside rear as well as adding period badges.
The decals / stickers are NOT stuck to the car I used vehicle magnetic sheet to attach them so they can be removed in seconds for shows etc or to wash the car. This also means you could change the look and go for an Italian Job replica if you wanted to this was something I was thinking about. The Cooper style stripes are stuck to the car but would come off easily.
The MOT history is very good (for a mini) and there is no rot on the car other than a few v small bubbles coming up on the bottom of the passenger door and the boot lid. No mini is rust free after all ! I was intending to sort these in the winter.
The car has a Fletcher stainless loud exhaust and it will need a front pipe soon as it was blowing before the last MOT when the previous owner used a repair to get it through. Its fine for now and sounds fantastic. The car also has a Fletcher stainless radiator. It was serviced recently and the oil is all clean. The wheels are 12” with almost new Yokohama tyres all round. Spare is present and correct. The previous owner added spacers to the rear wheels - I am not a fan I presume they were rubbing or its been done just for the look.
The interior is very good and has been re-trimmed in black vinyl. The boot is also lined. The seats are all good and there is a bluetooth stereo with Pioneer speakers in the back shelf. There is a genuine 1960’s rally switch panel and also a panel I have made to complete the look. None of the gauges work this was also on my list of things to do.
Tax isn’t bad at £190 the insurance is cheap about £100 on a classic policy with mods declared. The car gets loads of attention wherever you go. It drives like a typical mini and you have the reliability of a more modern fuel injection system.
I am including a set of legal yellow and white plates these can be switched with the black and silver ones in seconds for the MOT.
I am happy to swap for a camper van or something interesting of the same value - send me an offer. The roof rack is included but the skeleton and other decoration bits won’t be.
The bonnet strap isn’t for show the bonnet release is bust and needs a new pin - strap works fine.
