Ford Capri 2. 8 injection special. I adore this vehicle and it is the best vehicle I’ve ever owned, but it reluctantly now has to go. With my sensible head on I realise that I’m just not driving it enough and it’s a crying shame to see it sitting there only being used occasionally.
I purchased this beautiful car back in 2007, and in 2014 it underwent a full bare metal restoration along with a mechanical nut and bolt strip down/ renew/ restoration. I have pictures and folders of the restoration. After the restoration it was featured in the Classic Ford Magazine, which I have a copy of.
In 2018, I was in a position where I had to sell it, I was forced to sell it, and I spent the future months trying to relocate my car to buy it back, which I did in September 2020. My Capri is well known in the Capri world and it drives and sounds amazing, with no squeaks, rattles, smoke or noises.
It has the original engine and gearbox, it has a Quaife ATB limited slip rear differential, because the old Capri 2. 8i one had worn out. The ATB is miles better and quieter than the original plated limited slip differential, it has a Burton Power mild road camshaft, a K&N air filter, a steel timing wheel and a sensible custom made Powerflow stainless steel custom built exhaust, which isn’t too big. It burbles lovely and sounds like no other Capri out there when you accelerate.
My family have all been in this Capri and the sentimental value of this car far outweighs the sale price, and despite me having to say goodbye to it, I will be sad to see it go - but it has to for the sake of the car.

Exterior: Great condition – look at the pictures
Engine: Strong, reliable, powerful and well cared for
Interior: Good condition for year. Dash cracked, which they all are, part leather interior could do with a refresh
There is a faint ticking when driving it that's coming from behind the speedo clock. I think it's either the cable, or a worn plastic gear.
This Capri WILL also come with the very expensive personalised registration 281 CAP. (2. 8i Cap), and I will not sell the numberplate separately. The plate and the Capri must be sold together.
Buyer will not be disappointed and I want someone that will genuinely look after him. I am not in a rush to sell my Capri. The mileage is not 11, 000 miles, Car and Classic won't allow me to change it on my advert for some reason. It's done around 110, 000 miles. The engine since the rebuild however has done only around 8500 miles
