A truely loved car that sadly needs to be replaced by an automatic. We bought the car in June 2019, from a small car dealer, because we love the styling of the MX-5 NC. Used for sunny days out we've only done around 1200 miles since we bought her.
In the time we've owned her we've spent quite a bit of money on repairs and minor alterations. The most significant piece of work was a full strip down, repair and re-sealing of the underneath of the car by Solent MX5 in June 2022. At the same time the clutch was adjusted to make it lighter, the shocks were replaced and the car slightly lowered. Other work:
- Exhaust centrebox and rear twin box replaced July 2019
- All wheels replaced by Oz MSW 22 in matt black Apr 2020
- DoctorMX5 checked her over Nov 2022 saying no work required
Last MOT was 28 Oct 2024 with no advisories. In fact no advisories on the last three MOTs; since the work by Solent MX5. We've a copy of the Mazda digital service record from before we bought her.
The exterior is as you would expect of a car of this age. There are some minor areas of paint bubbling on the bonnet. There's also a area inside the boot lid where the paint has peeled showing the aluminum. So there is some body work to do.
