Here is my SWB Series 3 soft top
I bought it in about 1980 and it was last taxed in 1989, from memory.
It’s been to Tromzo in Norway and many other places without a hiccups but that was many years ago.
Two owners, the Ministry of Agriculture and me again from memory.
It was bought from C and A Landrover in Colne.
I laid it up probably 35 years ago with the intention of doing more exploring in the future but somehow this never happened.
It’s a 2 1/ 4 petrol and ran like a watch but it hasn’t been started for years.
It will definitely need a chassis and certainly repairs at a minimum to the bulkhead and much more I guess.
It has free wheel hubs and a Fairy overdrive which has probably done 15000 miles.
I have a truck cab also
It’s been in a dry building for at least 35 years where it is now.
I can’t find the logbook but it’s seems to still be on the system, see photo.
A sad sale but I will never get around to putting it back on the road.
