Description
A wonderful DS 21 Pallas with the highly sought after model year of 1967. The last model year with the old front and the first with LHM.
This DS was made in Belgium at the plant in Brussels. The DS’s built in Belgium was considered to have a better build quality and cars made for the Swedish market were treated against rust already at factory.
Timeline of history:
1967: Sold new in Ystad, south Sweden to Märta Särlöv, a woman who had a private healthcare institute outside of the city.
1975: Taken over by her son.
1977: Sold to the well renown Citroën dealer in south Sweden, Åke Persson. He used it for two years before he parked it and used it as a show car in the dealership.
1987: His son took over the dealership and the car as well. Was continuing to be parked as a showroom car.
2003: Sold to a man who started to strip it to do a light restoration, but never continued with it.
2014: Sold to the current owner who continued the restoration and finished it in 2017.
Restoration and work: Very little welding was needed but it got a complete mechanical overhaul and a repaint in its original colours.
The interior is the original and is in a very good condition.
It has a few original extra equipments like a fan in the rear window, Jaeger rev. counter, Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio. Reversing lamp and fog light has also been installed.
Latest years it has got new Michelin tires
Since restoration it has been driven approximately 15000 kilometers. In 2019 the DS was participating at the 100 years anniversary of Citroën in La Ferté Vidame, France. It was driven there and back home without any issues.
Mileage can not be verified but it's most likely 123. 000 kilometers. The car got a MoT/ Besiktning in 1979, and the next (and final one) was in 2017 when the restoration was finished.
This DS drives like a low mileage car; the engine is powerful and silent, gearbox as well without any whining noises and the roadholding is superb.
