Sought after Jaguar XFR 5litre V8, A very regrettable decision to have to sell this car but due to disability/ motability issues it’s just not being used and that is a crying shame as it drives like it’s ten years younger than it is.
I searched for a long time to find one and in the end found an honest one but in poor state. A massive folder full of receipts, bills, mot, service history etc.
The first time I drove it I thought wow this is different, the way it put the power down was/ is something else.
Even knowing the faults with it decided to by it and try my best to make it special. I have been in the motor trade since I left school at 15, now 71 so gained quite a lot of knowledge over the years
The last 15 years of working was for Rover Group then Jaguar. Working as an experimental performance engine technician. My love of Jaguars was fulfilled when I started to work for them not so much a job more a labour of love
Air conditioning now working, changed condenser radiator.
Moving onto the carSince my tenure
Super charger coupling and oil changed
Twin K&N performance air filters
Reduced 10% supercharger pulley fitted
Thermostat housing and related cooling pipes
Water pump and uprated oil cooler tube
Throttle body coolant pipe ( known as valley pipe)
Engine runs perfectly with no overheating or coolant loss
Engine oil and filter changed
Rear sub frame replaced 3 years ago
Rear crash bar replaced February 2025
4 wheel laser alignment carried out
Both rear tyres replaced with Falcom Avensis RS820
NSF tyre replaced with RS820
OSF tyre has a Vredestein in excellent order.
Spacers on all corners 20mm front 25mm rear gives it a lovely stance.
Ride height unit changed OSR due to Dynamic fault genuine Jaguar replacement
Infotainment Screen didn’t work.
Traced back to faulty TV module
All fibre optic system now working
Just the TV not working
Bowers & Wilkins pro logic sound system. Which is amazing
Leather dash replaced with Alcantara to match roof lining very tactile
Drivers seat bolster repaired
Exhaust is Spiers performance stage 1 from Cats to Axle stage 2 axle to tips
Sounds fantastic but great when cruising, no drone. When needed sounds like Armageddon with all the power released
Recently remapped and tuned at Viezu Bidford-on-Avon wher it achieved
597 BHP
823 NM torque.
The day of testing was very hot and humid , the operator stated on a cooler day it would have recorded over 600 BHP.
All documentation for power output is in the massive folder for perusal.
Door locks didn’t work now all repaired except for nsr where there is a fault on the wiring in the trunking , locks manually so car is secure
Only known fault is it does need a new Air Conditioning Condenser and pipe seals. I just haven’t got round to doing and reflected cost of £500 off asking price.
