Description
Update: The car is now having engine issues in the last few weeks. It still starts / drives etc, but selling as a running project car with a need to trailer for the sake of simplicity.

1982 Porsche 924
First registered February 1982
Tax: 1 February 2026 (Classic Exempt)
MOT: 15 January 2026 (Classic Exempt, but MOT'd for good measure)
The good bits:
- Road worthy - starts, stops, and drives without issue
- Passed last few MOTs without any problems (only MOT failures in last 7 years have been for lights / horn)
- The core components are all sound (Engine, gearbox, clutch, brakes, lights, etc). I’m not aware of any damp inside, tyre flat spots, or fuel issues.
- Porsche 924s are steadily rising in price in the last few years
- Very low running costs on a Classic Policy
- V5 and service history of the last few years available
- During my ownership it was stored for 3-4 years within my garage, then an additional year on a driveway with car cover.
The not so good bits:
- Not in "showroom" condition aesthetically - the pictures should be representative. At some point this was a Cat N vehicle (prior to my ownership, but when I asked, the previous owner advised it was cosmetic damage to the front bumper)
- Whilst the core is all mechanically sound currently, overall in need of a bit of TLC before becoming a real daily driver
- Only driven a few hundred miles in the last few years
Known issues:
- Boot latch, driver's side external door handle, AC, radio, and horn can be temperamental. None of those are particularly expensive fixes but they haven't bothered me enough to resolve
Overall:
- This is a fun little car, that has been a pleasure to own for the last ~5 years.
- Would be a great car for someone willing to learn / be a bit more hands-on
Cheers
