Professionally restored in 2006/ 7 with full history and some photo confirmation, the car is in good roadworthy condition. During the restoration it was repainted in BMC Padgent Blue and BMW Dark Blue with Jaguar cream wheels it was subsequently a concourse winner . Recent upgrades are the Standard Motor Company recon Carburettor and a new Distributor. Tyres are very good and the Hood and interior are in excellent condition. The car was UK registered JLK169 but had to be registered in Guernsey when I purchased it in 2020. The only upgrade I was intending to complete is a conversion to flashers as the semaphores (disconnected but were working) proved to be invisible to following Drivers.
The car has a substantial history file supporting, in minute detail, the work which has been undertaken.
Unfortunately, as a result of damaged knees, I am no longer able to drive the car without severe pain, and hence the reason it is reluctantly for sale.
The only defect is some micro blistering in the top coat, although this is only visible on close inspection.
I am open to reasonable offers
Any inspection is welcome, and if the purchaser wishes, I can arrange for the vehicle to be collected from either Portsmouth or Poole docks. The car is great to drive and looks striking, and it has appeared in the Guernsey Liberation Day cavalcades as although it was first reg in 1947 it was a model dating back to prewar extensively used during WW2.
I was impressed by its condition and presence when I first saw it, and my impression was more than confirmed when it was delivered to Guernsey.
