Description
Superb bodywork and excellent shiny chrome - a real head turner. This Alpine one the last off the line in Jan 1968. Cherished car with lots of useful upgrades. Overdrive, Club Weber carb and manifold, electronic ignition, hidden Bluetooth stereo. Runs and drives great. Always starts, good oil pressure and doesn’t overheat. Recently refurbed dashboard and interior - and now, even a clock that works! Gets lots of compliments and attention at shows. Recently serviced (quality oil, oil filter, fuel filter and plugs) and ready for the summer. Lots of paperwork. Selling as fancy a change and trying something different.
The Alpine is a really interesting alternative to an MGB. It was the first ever Bond car. Great for taller drivers (more room and taller screen). Cheap to run and with great parts availability and specialist support. Overdrive makes motorways easy. It’s a really stylish 60s roadster. History: I started a stamped service book when I bought the car in 2021 to keep track of work and my own miles. I have had the car serviced every year. I have lots of paperwork beyond that, dating back to 2011, when the previous owner bought the car. The engine is great with no issues, runs extremely well (with the Weber carb) and holds good oil pressure. The gearbox engages and holds each gear cleanly and the overdrive works on/ off perfectly in both 3rd and 4th and self cancels in 2nd.
Recent mileage at service:
