Porsche 924 Targa Le Mans
Porsche created this special Le Mans edition for the 924 models to commemorate their overwhelming success at Le Mans in 1979, where the brand triumphed by finishing first through fourth(!) during the 24-hour race. These limited-edition models were characterized by the addition of the rear spoiler from the Turbo version, alloy honeycomb wheels, Le Mans striping, a 4-cylinder 125hp engine (sourced from Audi), a leather gear shift cover, 5-speed gearbox, and a 4-spoke steering wheel.
Only 1, 030 examples of the Le Mans edition were built. A very small number of these featured the targa roof, making this version exceptionally unique, rare, and collectible! In our opinion, the 924 is highly underrated. However, this model is gaining recognition and, in our view, is an absolute potential investment! While we cannot predict the future, some models simply have "it"...
