Description
For Sale is my fully rebuilt Land Rover Defender 110 200tdi 1994 2495CC in Blue with 5 former keepers. MOT Expires in May 2026. 139k Miles on the Clock
This vehicle has been fully rebuilt from the ground up. Anything the vehicle has needed it has got. Just a few things to highlight before I go deep into this listing. This Defender is sitting on its original chassis, has its original body and also the original 200tdi engine. The vehicle has been fully resprayed on the exterior, the chassis is completely rot free and has had up to 80% of its nut and bolts replaced with new ones.
Chassis - Like I mentioned above the chassis is completely rot free and is still the original. The only welding that has been done is replacing the rear quarter of the chassis. (Pictures to show) As most defender enthusiasts know this area always tends to rot. After, the rear quarter was replaced, the chassis was taken back to bear metal to get rid of any surface rust or any other potential rotted areas. Once this was done it was primed and then coated with black raptor paint to give it a tough, durable finish.
Chassis Components - Radius arms, A frame and any other components that attaches to the chassis has also been taken back to bear metal to get rid of all surface rust which was then primed, painted and has been replaced with new poly bushes. It has had new nuts and bolts replaced in these areas too. The axles have also been cleaned up, repainted and rebuilt with new bearings, seals, swivels etc.
Suspension - This vehicles suspension has been replaced with all new standard height springs and shocks with galvanised shock turrets and spring retaining plates.
Braking - All new drilled, grooved and vented brake discs and pads have been replaced with new galvanised brake disc guards. New brake callipers fitted all round. One thing I didn't want on the vehicle was copper brake lines so I decided to replace these with Pioneer's 4x4 braided brake lines from all 4 corners, front to rear and up to the new brake master cylinder. This vehicle doesn't have one copper line as the clutch line has also been replaced with a pioneer one.
Engine/ Gearbox - This engine still has its original 200tdi engine which are becoming a lot more rarer now. It has 139k miles on the clock. The cambelt, water pump and lift pump has been replaced on this engine and has had fresh new oil. Also it has had all new auxiliary belts fitted and the Fourby boost pin and boost controller. Not to much change with the LT77 gearbox apart from its had a new LOF clutch & fork fitted, new slave cylinder and like I mentioned above, a new pioneer braided clutch line.
Body of vehicle - Before the vehicle was resprayed the body wasn't in that bad of condition but there were parts on the body where the surface of the paint started to bubble in areas, there were some dents in areas as-well. So, I decided to give it what it needed and have it fully resprayed on the exterior.
Body of Vehicle / Rear Tub to Front Bulkhead - The rails that connect the rear tub to the front bulkhead has been replaced with new as the old ones rotted out. The C pillars were also replaced as these also rotted and saw better days. After these were replaced the B & C pillars were then welded back onto the new rail.
Body of Vehicle / Bulkhead - If you know defenders, we all know that the bulkhead tends to rust and rot. The bulkhead on this defender wasn't in bad condition but still needed to be repaired. The main thing that needed to be repaired was the foot wells which was done along with a refurbed gearbox tunnel which also rotted. I have before and after pictures of this.
Body of Vehicle / Doors - Once again and if you know defenders the bottom of the doors tend to rot out. The doors on this defender had some worse than others but were all repairable. New sections on each of the doors were welded in place. As I had to strip these doors to bear bones for the welding to be carried out, they have had new inner door seals replaced and have been fully rebuilt with new bottom door seals aswell. Finally new nuts/ bolts to attach the doors to the vehicle and has had new exterior door handles all round.
Window/ door Seals - This defender has new door seals on the front, second row and boot. The front window screen and roof window rubbers perished which was replaced with new rubbers. When replacing the front windscreen rubber a crack occurred in the screen.
The interior has had sound deadening put in place along with brand new Lucari carpets. Door cards, seats and cubby box remain the same. All new LED lights externally. No side side sills or rocksliders currently on the vehicle.
If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to WhatsApp me on the details below. The defender has been kept in dry storage and hasn't seen any rain water since it has been rebuilt. When the weather is nice, I have been driving it on weekends.
£16, 995onoThe main reason for me buying this vehicle was to fully rebuild it which I have done. The main issue with defenders these days is the rust/ rot that occurs on the chassis, doors and bulkhead. With this defender you don't need to worry about any of that as all work has been carried out.
I have taken photos through out the whole project for the next owner to have and see for themselves what work has been carried out. Anything the vehicle has needed it has got, up to 80% of its nuts and bolts have been replaced.
