Description
1968 Land Rover Series 2A – Sound, Usable Classic
A great opportunity to own a solid and characterful 1968 Land Rover Series 2A, finished in Arles Blue.
This classic Series 2A is in good, sound condition throughout. It’s powered by an excellent 2. 3-litre petrol engine that starts easily and runs very smoothly. The chassis and bulkhead are rust-free and very solid. The gearbox works as it should, though as with some of these Series Land Rovers, gear selection takes a little getting used to. It’s fitted with freewheel front hubs, and little used tyres.
The bodywork shows evidence of use, as you'd expect for a 57-year-old Landy, but it still presents very well. The interior is clean and tidy with good seats and inertia seat belts, and the car has benefited from a significant restoration in the past. Was previously green.
In regular road use, it drives well and attracts admiring comments wherever it goes. It’s not a concours winner, but it’s a strong, reliable, and very useable classic. Recently serviced.
Registered as a Historic Vehicle, so it’s road tax free and MOT exempt under current rules. Also exempt from ULEZ in London. Additionally, the car has a tow bar and electrics.
Located in Wandsworth, South-West London, available for viewing by appointment.
A practical, well-loved Land Rover – ready to drive and enjoy.
