Description
Launched to the media on June 17th 1970 The Range Rover is one of the most iconic vehicle's to have graced the roads and anywhere else your fancy takes you!
This being a late 1973 suffix B, 3 door Range Rover that I have owned since early 2022.
I purchased the car after a period of showroom storage of around 5 years and only covering around 20 miles. It was in generally very good condition. During my ownership I have continued to further improve. This has included a full service of the fuel system. Fuel tank flush, new filters, full carburettor and intake manifold rebuild with all new gaskets and seals etc. The ignition system has also been serviced with new spark plugs, points and condenser. Now running beautifully, starting, idling and pulling as it should and all eight cylinders are running with matching compression. I think it would be fair to describe as now in excellent condition.
In around 2008 TLC 40M changed hands after long term ownership by a gentleman in Tregaron. It was essentially very sound but some restoration work was carried out including fitting a pair of NOS doors from South Africa and a full exterior repaint to a high standard. A brake overhaul including new discs was undertaken and new Cooper Discoverer A/ T tyres were fitted. Other items were also attended to but documentation was not kept.
Unfortunately the history before this is unknown beyond the heritage certificate showing it was dispatched to Henlys Limited of London on the 26th of October 1973, in Lincoln Green and registered TLC 40M in Greater London.
Now showing 63847 miles I would believe this to be genuine.
Optional equipment fitted includes PAS and overdrive both vastly improve the driving experience.
Tax and MOT exempt TLC 40M is ready for a new owner to enjoy, be it as a daily driver, for high days and holidays or a perfect country sports accessary! It would also be a relatively easy undertaking to take it to a concours standard.
