Description
1996 Chevrolet Camaro 4th Gen fitted with the highly regarded and economical 3800 MKII engine ( L36 ). The car presents very well in artic white and is fitted with 16in ( salad cutter ) style aluminium wheels which were recently fitted with Firestone Road hawk tyres. The dashboard is the original " jet cockpit " style with small cracks. ( very common problem ) and fitted with a Panasonic aftermarket head unit and cloth covered seats in good order. The car has been recently inspected by an American car specialist and he believes the mileage to be correct at 77, 000 Km (48, 000 miles) and the general condition to be good. The underside is in well above condition showing little evidence of rust. A couple of minor oil leaks were detected around the gearbox gasket and engine but nothing serious or requiring attention at this point. A slight bearing noise was also detected from the air conditioner unit on closer examination. The body has the odd small blemish and a quality re spray has been carried out at some point in the past.
Originally assembled at the Sainte - Therese GM plant in Quebec, Canada, the car was then shipped new from California in November 1995 to Japan, it was then imported into the UK in 2015 and since then has had 4 former keepers and has covered just over 7000 miles. The diff oil and gasket were replaced in 2024 and a replacement serpentine belt was also fitted together with oil & filter, fuel filter, inner & outer track rod, passenger side window regulator ( common issue ) thermostat & gasket, radiator flush and coolant added. Two checks through V Check and Carfax have been carried out but an addition check supplied by a Japanese report shows no service history which I was assured is not uncommon for cars imported new and then exported from Japan. All copies of reports and correspondence are present. The next MOT is due in mid June 2026 and is sold with two sets of keys. This car has real road presence and is a real head turner. Private sale.
