Rare Mallard Blue, code 106 - a colour that looks great in bright sun or evening light. Triumph V8, manual with overdrive.
Purchased by me in 2019 with a solid body from a previous restoration so the plan was to fettle the mechanical and suspension, which I did just over 2 years ago, and have driven 1016 miles since.
Brown interior. Front and rear seats trimmed in leather rather than vinyl.
New brown interior carpets. New Aldridge Trimming boot carpets.
Burr Elm dashboard.
New guages. New speedometer now reads 1016 miles . (Previous speedo read 22436 miles thought to have been replaced at its previous restoration in 1990/ 91 ).
New German Iwis timing chains. New sprockets. External belt driven water pump. Raised header tank. Tony Hart Supergill radiator. Uprated alternator. New battery. Stainless steel extractor manifolds and full stainless steel exhaust. Power steering pump overhaul. New brake and clutch master cylinders.
Gearbox and overdrive reconditioned by Sheffield Overdrive Repair Services. Flywheel skimmed. Powerlite High Torque starter motor. Reconditioned carburettors, Lumenition ignition, relocated Lumenition coil, Magnecor competition plug leads.
New uprated differential from TJ Ward with strengthened quill shaft housing. New Propshaft.
Rear CV joints. Uprated 3/ 8 studs in rear radius arms.
New poly bush suspension, springs and shocks. Adjustable rear camber brackets.
Uprated BCC front brake calipers and Rossini discs. All new rear brakes including drums.
5 New alloy wheels (from Rimmer Bros) fitted with Michelin MXV-P tyres dated 2022.
New Alpine radio fitted with Bluetooth, USB and microphone (through dash speaker only at present ). Rear seat belts. No hardtop.
Lots of receipts for the above and many other items.
A few minor blemishes but very good condition and looks stunning as you can see from the photos. Video walk round and more photos available. A very attractive and solid car, heavily waxoyled by previous owners. Some history available. Some spares including a set of carburettors. Selling so that I can concentrate on another car project.
