Description

is a MORRIS MINOR 1000 Traveller built in 1964, the British "half-timbered estate car" with its beautiful and unmistakable charm. And if you look at the sales figures of over 1. 4 million units, you can see why the Moggy is also known as "the English VW Beetle". As the current photographs show, the example on offer is original and completely preserved, although the car has been standing for a long time and has been left to the ravages of time. The car was imported from England to the Netherlands in 1995 and then stood there dry in a hall. Despite the fact that the car has been reasonably well protected over the years, the ravages of time have attacked many parts of the Traveller. The wood in the rear area, on the right hinge, is damaged and needs to be restored. There is also clearly visible damage to the paintwork in the bonnet area. All other areas of the vehicle, including the entire interior, are over 60 years old and completely unrestored or have an authentic patina to match their age, which may be stronger or weaker. This is therefore a restoration object for Morris and classic car connoisseurs. Due to the high production numbers of the Morris Minor, the spare parts situation is good to very good and generally inexpensive. Especially if you know how to search the Internet properly. At the moment the engine won't start because the float is hanging on the carburettor and a frost plug (cause unknown) is out. However, the engine does turn! On request, 2 Morris engines (which also need to be overhauled) can also be offered if required. Due to the condition of the engine, we have also set the price. Either way, a restoration is worthwhile, as the Traveller is a fascinating classic due to its construction, which, like Mini, Austin and Co, has a generally indestructible technology and costs a lot more money in good, i. e. restored condition. Ideal for people who like to tinker! With exactly 50 photos, also from the underbody area, you should already be able to get a good picture of the overall condition of the 61-year-old Travller. Otherwise, you are welcome to visit us on site by appointment. PS : We still have a Morris Minor from 1951 with a rebuilt engine on offer ! Please ask us for further information. currently still has an English registration (V5 document) and requires a so-called TüV full approval according to §21c/ 23 StVZO for a German registration including H-approval. This is NOT included in the price and is NOT offered by us for an additional charge. The sale takes place exclusively as a project or hobby vehicle. The expertise serves as an aid to get an idea of the vehicle on offer, but is not a guarantee of the above-mentioned defects. Due to the lack of a TÜV inspection for exact defects, further defects on the vehicle are to be expected. The customer vehicle offered by us can be inspected by you at any time by appointment. Please (!) make use of this option if you are unsure about this vehicle offer. This is the only way to save yourself, us and the vehicle owner trouble and unnecessary costs. We are happy to get to know our customers personally on site and offer you, as an interested party, a completely non-binding discussion on the vehicle, where further questions or information about our offer(s) can be clarified. This has been our policy for over 45 years and we would like to continue it.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us, also by telephone. Thank you very much, we look forward to YOUR enquiry!
