Description
The Vanquish was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2001. Designed by lan Callum it has tremendous presence, and proved to be an immediate success. Its James Bond association just added to the attraction.
The last of the Newport Pagnell built Astons, and amongst the final hand built cars, the first series Vanquish will always be regarded as one of the most desirable V12 Aston Martins.
When you get close and personal with the vanquish you start to appreciate what a feat of engineering it is. It's the first aluminium tub for Aston and what many don't realise is how much carbon fibre is within its construction. Open up the bonnet and you see it all. From the strut towers to the cross member.
It's beautiful.
All these technological advances really pays dividends in the way this thing drives. It's spectacular. Balanced, controlled and confidence inspiring lending it self to one of the best super GTs back in the early 2000s. It's the perfect blend of old school thrilling motoring without too many electronic aids. The perfect era for drivers cars if you ask me.
This example has been with its current custodian for the last 12 years. During his ownership it was always garage stored.
All the dealership literature and book packs are present from the aluminium service book to the glove box Aston kit. It's all present. The details are lovely and well thought out. There's an Aston Martin brolly on the boot, Aston Martin's trickle charger, beautiful hard back brochures. These little extras make the Vanquish feel very special.
The car has just been treated to a full service including filters and spark plugs.
Wheels are in immaculate condition and shod in Hankook Ventus tyres all round with lots of tread.
There are 14 services on record.
The car has also been treated to a brand new radiator, handbrake adjustment, antiroll bar D bushes and a geo-alignment and a recent MOT with no advisory items.
If you're after a genuinely special car that is fabulous value for money in today's market considering how rare these hand built Astons are, then a Vanquish could be the car for you.
