Nut and bolt restoration undertaken over past 12 months. Most of the work has been done by Dave Lock (UK Austin Champ Guru).
This vehicle was intended as a personal vehicle, hence the high standard of work done to it. It drives beautifully smoothly with great engine power.
It has been fitted with:
Gearbox rebuilt by Dave Lock
Fully serviced engine (by Dave Lock)
New shock absorbers
New steering rack
Full rewire and all new lights (loom made by Dave Lock)
New main body panels
New Brake system including master cylinder, all wheel cylinders, drums and shoes
Restored fuel tank and pipes
Stainless steel exhaust system
Front and rear axels both rebuilt
New Axel boots and seals
New windscreen inner with new glass
It was intended as a personal vehicle to keep hence excellent standard of rebuild.
All body panels are sound and have been painted, if you are looking for the best finish it would benefit from a spray over as there are different shades of green on the panels. I have not done this as I feel it is something which they new owner can do to their own liking. My plan was to do it in a colour other than green and make it something quite different but of course that is personal choice.
As with all Champs if you are looking for a very capable off road vehicle, whether for attending shows or going shooting it has to be the one of choice and this one with its superb body condition will be a real show stopper. This champ would make a great vehicle for a military vehicle enthusiast or someone looking for something a little bit different to take their Gin and Tonic across the field in. The smooth ride off road is second to none and having been re built by Dave Lock this particular vehicle has to be the one to own and cherish for future value.
