1979 Yamaha Triple cylinder shaft drive,
V5 present and correct.
Running and starting very well. Fully serviced.. Quiet engine, gearbox works fine with all gears selecting smoothly.
Not to be confused with the troublesome XS750.
Tyres good with plenty of tread, Conti rear Metz front.
New headstock bearings, fork seals.
Brakes rebuilt with stainless hoses, pads all good.
Gel battery about a year ago. Charging perfect and wonderful lights.
Upgraded Mikuni carbs professionally re jetted breathing through genuine K &N filters and new pet cocks.
Mobil 10w 40 installed.
Lovely to ride and looks marvelous. Glorious howl from the triple engine and pulls like a truck. Standard shorty genuine Yamaha exhaust is in remarkable shape with no holes or welding patches. Maintenance free shaft drive is great,
Came from Texas.
Ive owned this machine for 6 years and have found it a joy to ride.
I believe there is approx 27k on this but cannot verify, clocks have been changed as the Texas sun baked the life out of the originals.
Comes with saddle bags and Haynes and genuine Yamaha mirrors.
Similar condition 850s regularly advertised elsewhere for over £3000, seems high . The price I quoted is more realistic but no offers please.
