BMW R80ST 1983. Registered 15 January 1983, now showing just under 24, 500 miles. I have two videos of the bike posted on You Tube, and information on this is at bottom of this advert. Registered as UK Historic Tax Class. Comes with panniers, tool kit and tray. Five former keepers. Purchased by me in November 2024, having been stored for about 4 years. Previous owner supplied a new battery, and the test ride was fine. I carried out a light re-commission over the winter, servicing the bike and replacing all fluids, except the front forks. Spent over £1, 400 on parts, including new throttle cables, throttle bevel, chain and grip. Non-standard handlebar has been replaced with genuine BMW. Fuel tap rebuilt, new mirrors and ‘Surefoot’ side stand fitted. Rear hub seal and brake cam seals replaced. BMW handguards. Avon Roadrider II tyres. Engine has run very sweet and smooth in the 1, 500 miles done since back on the road in March. Easy starter with 55 mpg average touring. It’s been a lovely bike to ride, with great handling, but I am giving up biking, so it needs a new owner. For videos, please search "Bernard Cashin" and it should list both. One is a walk around and the other a start up from cold. Alternatively, please message and I will send the links. The R80ST is an under appreciated classic; easier to live with than the GS and described as the best handling BMW bike in it's day. I have some history, including an early V5 (2nd owner), invoices, handbooks, and some MOT certificates. Front and rear brakes work well. Attracts many admiring comments from other bikers.
