Description

This isn't just your average RX7 FD Type-RS, for sale is my incredibly high spec, bridge-ported import built to a clubman/ street-racer specification.

- Full 12 month MOT
- 136, 800 Km (85, 000 Miles)

My list of work on the car is extensive, but the big points to note are as follows:
- I built the entire exhaust system from block to tips from scratch, featuring a custom-CNC machined billet 321 stainless manifold flange, 321 stainless 2" manifold tubing, equal length from the block to wastegates, and wastegates to turbo. 316 low carbon stainless 3. 5" from turbo to backbox, custom rolled and packed, high-flowing centre silencer and rear silencer with twin downturned tips.
- Hard-piped the intercooler system with only one flexi and a coupler to minimise boost leaks and for ease of removal.
- Rebuilt the gearbox in 2022 with all new syncros, bearings and 5th gear.

The entire car specification is as follows,
Engine and drivetrain:
- Bridgeport 13b
- Link G4x ECU

The car was serviced less than 200 miles ago with new oil and genuine Mazda filter, always serviced by me every 2000 miles.
Fuel filter was changed in 2023.
I'm very meticulous when it comes to maintenance and these engines don't take a lot of oil so it's hardly expensive and adviced to frequently change oil and filter. I run 20w50 oil for the engine with a pre-mix in the fuel of 100:1.

As stunning as this car is, there are a fair few stone chips on the front end and behind wheels from the sticky tyres. Such is the nature of performance tyres and enjoying the car to its full potential.
Also to note, the odometer is still reading in Kilometers very accurately, but the speedo needle is moving very slowly - either to do with the km>miles converter or what is quite a common and easily rectified issue on these, a capacitor inside the unit. I have owned this jem for around 4 years now and have spent a small fortune and countless hours of labour turning it into my dream. The engine was rebuilt back in 2013, however the car wasn't used much in the 8 years before coming to me, I managed to track down a couple of the 4 previous owners and speak with them about the car to which they have fond memories of.
It was imported back in 2007, though despite how long it has been in the UK - the chassis is incredibly clean underneath and has been clearly cared for and protected in its life here.

This is truly one to be viewed and heard, the exhaust note is superb, not too loud but free-flowing. The tyres stick the car to the road like glue and the rear differential turns the car into a honing missile around high-speed bends. The car handles superbly with a full suspension geometry recently done, and with a fantasticly linear power curve topping out at around 500hp, it is incredibly predictable and easy to drive fast.

I have taken this car all around western Europe on a 2500-mile round trip without a hitch, as well as a 1600-mile trip of all the national parks in the UK and Scotland, going as far as inverness again without a single problem. It has done me proud but sadly it's time to move on as I've had my time with it and no longer find the time to drive it.
