Description
A charming, characterful car, we have had it for 7 years and it hasn't let us down.
Genuine factory convertible, chassis number MAT5....... so this isn't a dodgy converted saloon, it is a properly stiff original factory convertible or tourer . Reasonable condition, as seen. Engine runs well, fuel pump rebuilt, new exhaust, gearbox rebuilt. Interior reasonable. Underneath is strong but not pretty as it has been patch welded and undersealed.
Hasn't been to used for awhile, kept garaged but it started very easily and running well. Carpets are ok.
Does 40 to the gallon is MOT exempt and road tax free. A very cheap car to keep on the road.
Trafalgar blue, has had new paint which has yet to be polished. She is 60 years old, though she is straight and solid. Roof is serviceable but could do with a clean inside. Roof mechanism has been repainted.
Has a heater, door mirrors and a reversing light to make it more useable for today's living.
Reason for sale: My daughter and wife want a moggy traveller so we could swap for one of those of a similar value.
A good basis for a much improved and valuable car if the buyer wanted to put the effort in.
She is driveable, and has been reliable.
Payment by confirmed bank transfer. We bought it as a characterful and cheap way to take my daughter to school to save on fuel. She ran faultlessly and now our school is nearby. We have really enjoyed her but it's time to move on now my girls want a traveller, sigh!
