Description
For Sale: BMW M3 Coupé – Estoril Blue, 1998 – Collector's Dream!
Sadly, it’s time for me to find a new home for this stunning BMW M3 Coupé in the iconic Estoril Blue metallic – a true classic for any enthusiast or collector. The bodywork is in excellent condition with no rust, and the black leather interior is also exceptionally well preserved. A car truly worth keeping for the future!
Model year: 1998 – equipped with the larger 3. 2L engine producing 321 hp
Mileage: 154, 800 km
Converted from SMG to manual gearbox using genuine BMW parts (conversion done in 2009)
Originally imported from Germany in 2000
This M3 is in original condition, with exemption of these upgrades to enhance the driving experience:
* KW sport suspension with coilovers in front and height adjustment all around
* Polyurethane bushings front and rear
* Stainless steel braided brake lines
* Aluminum pedals
* Front strut brace
Recent Maintenance & Upgrades (since I purchased the car in 2018):
* New battery (2020)
* New clutch slave cylinder (2020)
* New clutch master cylinder (2020)
* New gear lever and shifter linkage bushings (2021)
* New steering rack with inner and outer tie rods (2021)
* New AC condenser + system pressure tested, flushed, and recharged (2021)
* Onboard computer display repaired (2024)
Known Issues:
* Left headlight lens has a stone chip
* Minor paint defect near the rear window on the trunk lid
* Oil temperature gauge in dash is not functional due to the original SMG configuration, since these models weren't equipped with an oil temp sensor
* The stereo unit acting up and not always working – it’s an old aftermarket Blaupunkt unit with no real value
Since I took ownership in 2018, the car has been driven only about 400 km. It's been stored in a garage with controlled temperature and humidity, and taken out for annual inspections and short drives to keep it mechanically sound.
I now hope to find the right buyer who will continue to care for this beautiful example of a true automotive icon – and hopefully make better use of it than I have. A rare chance to own one of the finest M cars ever made.
