Here’s my 1996 BMW E36 M3 Evolution Convertible in Boston Green with matching hard-top. showing just 79, 000 miles.
Selling to make room for other purchase. By far the most affordable E36 M3 available.
Only 3 previous owners with a fair amount of history. The car drives exactly as it should and feels tight and well looked after. VANOS rebuild appears to have been done at some point — it pulls cleanly through the rev range with no marble noise.
Mechanically it’s spot on. Starts, idles and drives very well, strong through all gears and a great example of how these should feel.
Cosmetically it’s very presentable for the age. The arches are solid with a few minor patches of surface rust that would require a sand and paint. There are a few small dings and age-related marks if you look closely, and the wheels would benefit from a refurb but are acceptable. The driver’s seat bolster has some wear and could do with repair and door cards are marked, but the interior is otherwise tidy. I believe the roof requires a reset.
Very useable completely stock M3 that you can enjoy straight away and improve over time. These are getting harder to find with sensible mileage.
