1988 Jaguar XJS “Chasseur” 5. 3ltr HE V12, 3-speed Auto, 83, 000 miles with FSH in Grenadier red with magnolia upholstery. New MOT 19/ 08/ 26. 1 advisory- oil leak engine not excessive, slight drip, although it’s always had this! Affectionately known as Chicken)
Reportedly 1 of just 2 Chasseur XJS conversions in existence.
23 service stamps till 2014, stored for 3 years then service history from then. History file with emails from past owners and plenty of receipts
Chasseur Conversion (Carried out approx. 1989-1990):
17” Wheels, Lowered suspension (Ride is 80mm from the road) bumpers, (Porsche 911) wing mirrors, grillage, interior enhancements.
Further Improvements 1996-2003 -Sunroof, remapping of ignition, unleaded conversion, new fuel tank, embroidered carpets, head rest pillows, wooden steering wheel, stainless steel grill and stainless-steel exhaust.
Car is in good condition, and would benefit from a couple of things doing to make it excellent. I have spent over £15k in the past 8 years of ownership with a large service history folder. Will come with a Sahara indoor car cover.
Great car to drive having 300hp, the mid range acceleration surprises all the bmw/ audi company car drivers trying to overtake me!! Bridges & tunnels are super for the V12 sound. At the car meets and shows I have attended, I am always asked about the car as not many have seen or heard of a V12 chasseur.
If you want something slight different to a normal XJS this is for you. I am open to sensible offers. I have reduced the price as my wife has another classic car and we need the space in the double garage!
