Description
Up for grabs is my absolute pride and joy completely factory original Mk1 Golf GTI Sportline Cabriolet in Flash Red. It is totally unmodified and comes with an enormous history file including original bill of sale and original book pack and both keys.
It’s a genuine Sportline as stated on the V5 and all of the original bits are in place (Recaro seats, orange needles on dash, BBS black centre alloys, leather steering wheel and gear knob, original side decals).
It has just gone through its MOT with 4x brand new Good Year tyres purchased and front brake flexi hoses.
Mechanically it is sound and has never let us down and it has a great service history. Anything it has ever needed has been done regardless of cost.
The interior is in very good shape with 1 tiny hole in the base of the passenger seat worth noting. Everything else is present and correct and works as it should. The original Blaupunkt cassette player has been changed for a retro style Blaupunkt headunit that looks like a cassette player but has DAB, Bluetooth and phone charging etc at great cost. All speakers have been replaced with JBL units in the original housings.
On the exterior the car wears its years with honesty. There are some marks from use and a couple of areas that I would tend to if I wanted it perfect. This includes the boot lid which has some cracking to the clear coat and low down on the drivers quarter where a previous paint repair has faded slightly.
Roof is perfect, goes up and down with no issues and is watertight. Original tonneau cover is present too.
It turns heads wherever you go and there are constantly people trying to buy it from you at car shows and even petrol stations! Well now you can!
We are located between Derby and Nottingham about 10mins from M1/ A38. Please no timewasters or dreamers.
Car is garaged at all times and is only available to free up funds for a garden project.
