It is with great regret that, due to age-related physical health, I have decided to sell my much-loved Daimler SP250 Dart. Until recent years, the car was driven regularly both locally and on short trips, and was a regular at our local Classic car Show.
The car is in outstanding condition throughout and drives beautifully. Mechanical condition, body and paint excellent – engine oil pressure 55/ 60. Gearbox, overdrive and brakes recently overhauled Complete renovation from 1995 with ongoing restoration and continual maintenance as required by specialist classic car mechanics. Extensive documentation, receipts, history and memorabilia. Chrome windscreen frame strengthened and renovated. Electronic ignition, electric cooling fan, alternator, electric fuel pump and R&P steering upgrades.
Body colour: Ivory Interior trim; Red leather with ivory piping. Black mohair hood. Very good chrome bumpers, over-riders, front grill and fittings
Excellent hood, tonneau cover, Workshop manual, Owner’s guide. Certificate of Production, Jaguar (Daimler) Heritage Trust.
MOT issued 09/ 07/ 2024
Present owner for 19 yearsHaving grown up in Hendon, London, near the Metropolitan Police Driving School, I often saw the police Daimler Dart's patrolling the MI during the mid-1960s. Throughout my adult years, I owned many now classic sports cars including an MGB, Austin Healey Sprite, TR4a, Jaguar 3. 4, Volvo P1800 and others. I was delighted when, nearly 20 years ago, it became possible to purchase a Daimler Dart; an iconic British sports car. Of all the cars I have owned, the Dart is exceptional. The incredibly smooth and powerful engine, the comfortable ride and agile steering, make it an outstanding car to drive. The unique body shape attracts attention and inquiry from all ages. I will be very sorry to see it go.
