Description

Registered in 1961 the car was imported into the UK in 1989. It underwent a major restoration around 1994. In 2020 the interior including the headlining was reupholstered and looks stunning. New carpets were added shortly after. A new set of 5 Vredestein tyres were also fitted in 2020 and the wheels were shot blasted and powder coated in 2024. It is fitted with the 850cc two stroke engine which was rebuilt by a previous owner in 2004. Recently the dynamo/ water pump unit has been professionally rebuilt, the radiator recored, and a complete set of silicone hoses fitted. The car is structurally sound and looks very good but some paintwork would improve the car. Although tax and MOT exempt the car does have a current MOT which expires in October 2025. The car is fitted with the rare SAXOMAT gearbox rumored to be the only one in the country known of by the Saab owners club and has received lots of love and attention in recent years. With it's two stroke engine, saxomat gearbox and being left had drive the car is great fun to drive and attracts a great deal of interest at any car meet it attends.
