1971, USA import via former keeper, matching numbers and highly original and many new parts. Comes with handbook, Clymer manual, CD and workshop and parts manual, invoices , etc. Acquired in 2022 with a plan to take touring with the Motorhome but never happened. Needs a new owner to use it.
Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club dating letter confirming it’s a DT2 model manufactured in Nov 1971 for the 1972 model year, this for the North American market. US VIN still present. See letter confirming component, paint and graphic specifications are correct. See attached copy of the letter. MOT certificate from Jan 2017 states mileage 7343 miles. Currently states 7500.
Previous owner was in the RAF and the bike regularly took trips in his RAF aircraft (C17/ Atlas)when overseas. His advice was the bike was imported from the USA in 2017 by a retired RAF aircraft engineer and then him. I’ve attached a great image of the bike hitch to the back of his 1962 Land Rover defender. Cared for and highly original. It fired up no problem despite it been sat for over a year !
I’m not skint and in two minds about selling but if the right owner and offer wants it then come have a look. Originality was the thing that attracted me and its previous ownership.
