. 12 Months MoTThe SP-2 is a homologation special, by HONDA, based on the Castrol World Superbike ridden to two championship titles by Colin Edwards in the noughties. As such, it’s a very special machine, with a reliable, powerful and charismatic V-twin engine.
This is a clean unmolested example, benefitting from an excellent and complete service record, three owners from new and a few road-friendly upgrades. If you’re after an exciting, powerful classic and an enigmatic race-derived bike and with unburstable Honda mechanicals that you can rely on every day, then this VTR 1000 SP2 definitely deserves consideration.

Summary
Few bikes have the reputation of the VTR SP2 – even fewer deserve it. But the SP2 is a genuine legend, a homologation special that can genuinely be used every day yet remains an exciting, adrenaline-fuelled ride. This handsome example would make for a very fine daily or regular use superbike.
