Description
Yamaha YZR500 replica, this machine has been evolving over the years and is now being passed on to allow the next owner to complete the works.
The machine is built around a 1989 TZR250 3MA chassis, with rebuilt RD500 engine etc, the tank and seat unit are primed ready for paint. There is plenty to be getting on with, the bike requires the fabrication of small brackets here and there, wiring loom modification, etc, etc, the plan was to follow the lines of the 1989 Eddie Lawson Marlboro Team Bike, using either a TZ or YZR fairing (which needs to be sourced).
The majority of the original 3MA parts were sold on to fund the project, however a good few parts are still included, therefore the machine could go back to a standard looking 3MA but with the 500 V4 engine.
Originally UK registered in 1995 the V5 has since been updated to show the engine capacity as a 500cc. Ideally this would suit someone with the skill and dedication to finally get the bike up and running. Sold as a project, for parts etc.
Cash or bank transfer on collection, I am also happy to liaise with couriers, however the bike will have to be paid for prior to collection.
Please note the images of the Marlboro machines are for reference only.
