Beautiful MGB GT in stunning ‘Inca Yellow’, which contrasts perfectly with the rare ‘dealer option’ black vinyl roof, with full length black ‘Britax’ sliding sunroof, the black & silver ‘Rostyle’ wheels and black bumpers.
The bodywork, paintwork and chrome trim are all in excellent condition, along with all the panel gaps, which suggests all the panels are original. The underside, castle rails and chassis are also in excellent condition with no signs of corrosion due to being professionally treated and ‘Waxoyled’.
The engine was overhauled 6, 000 miles ago, with the cylinder head converted to run on unleaded fuel, with the alternator and various ancillary items replaced and the ignition upgraded to electronic. A recent compression test shows very good compression, evenly across all cylinders.
Showing 67, 000 miles (MOT mileage history included) the GT drives smoothly with great oil pressure, benefiting from ‘Overdrive’ on 3rd and 4th gears which works perfectly. The brakes have recently been overhauled with new cylinders, shoes and adjusters on the rear and new discs, callipers, pads and flexi-hoses on the front.
The interior is very impressive and benefits from the ‘Britax’ sliding sunroof which is in excellent condition, as is the roof lining and makes the whole interior feel spacious and obviously is a real bonus on a sunny day. Other features include a black leather ‘Moto-Lita’ steering wheel, reclining leather seats and headrests piped in red and inertia seat belts.
