1960 Matchless G80CS, the bike is a resurrection of a discarded engineless frame and cycle parts. Most of the cycle parts were beyond recovery and disposed of. The frame, forks and swinging arm were stripped and powder coated. The required parts (wheels, seat etc) were obtained NOS, auto jumbles and aftermarket. The alternator/ rectifier have been converted to 12 volt and LED lighting installed. The speedometer has been overhauled. New rear shock absorbers are fitted and the forks overhauled.
A genuine G80CS engine was located and completely rebuilt with ‘scrambles cams’ and the gearbox overhauled. The bike rides very nicely.
The original date of road testing has been confirmed and DVLA have issued an age related registration. The resurrection took place over several years and no expense spared.
