Description
1992 PROSPORT 3000
Double Championship winning car - 94 Prosport champ and 98 Combe GT
Cosworth FBA V6 Engine with slide throttle bodies with dry sump system, not currently running but ECU included.
Hewland FGC Gearbox in good condition, nothing required.
Tracspax dampers
All suspension rod-ends in good condition or have been replaced.
The car is a 99% complete non runner at the moment but would be a simple project as everything is in good condition.
Parts to source include -
4x brake discs ( off the shelf )
2x calipers ( either Alcon or AP 4 piston )
Dry sump pump and bottle plus the relevant plumbing.
I also have a significant amount of spares with the vehicle which can be negotiated.
Front uprights freshly rebuilt with new bearings, stub axle and drive flanges.
I know of another engine ready to go that is available separately as well.
I have had confirmation that the car is eligible and welcome to race in the new Masters Historic Racing - Group C series. I would suggest this is both an economical car to run and also a relatively safe car to race of the era - no alumimium honeycombe, it is a well designed spaceframe.
4 Prosports were entered and gained entry to the 1992 Le Mans 24hr race, unfortunately due to funding issues none raced. I have been trying to research their chassis numbers, the cars must have been early chassis numbers to have raced in 1992. I am still trying to confirm entry for my car at present. A car also finished at the Daytona 24hrs in 97.
Try finding another proper Group C style car for this price. Double Championship winning car -
1994 Prosport championship
1998 Castle Combe GT Class A champion.
