For sale is our 1951 Chevrolet 3100,
We had big plans for this beautiful truck, but we're currently having our 1956 F100 rebuilt and have decided it's not feasible to keep both due to storage and usability.
This is a very well put together Chevy, not a poor build like some of these pickups are. Its had thousands spent over the years, most recently overhaul to the suspension and bushes etc costing around 5, 000 pounds at ATM engineering around a year ago ( they commented how will it handled the road now that's it been setup) it rides low so can occasionally scrape but it has a fantastic stance and looks amazing. Running on a Jaguar clip with Gas-a-just suspension, so it rides the road like a modern car.
Steering was also setup so it handles really nice, can happily cruise down the road with one hand on the wheel without it chasing the road or swerving everywhere, just drives as a modern car would.
Disc brakes all round so stops on the dot, nice linear brakes.
We got this truck for my mum to daily drive so wanted to make sure it pretty much drove like a modern car, which it does, of course it isn't like a rolls Royce and makes the occasional rattle here and there but its a solid truck to drive, im not people looking for a 3100 will not be disappointed.
All necessary welding was also carried out so its solid all over, of course its rat look so looks rusty etc but its a solid truck for the age.
Engine and gearbox where both rebuilt, engine is well specified, with Comp cam roller cams, ARP main stud kit, Holley performance carb. Has dyno print outs etc and has been setup professionally. 3 speed automatic, which are a solid and reliable gearbox. Starts on the button and idles really nice on the roller cams, temperature stays consistent and never gets hot, even in this hot weather we have been having so you can comfortably daily this truck which we have been. Has a temperature thermostat which you can set under the bonnet for the fans to kick in.
Has an electronic switchable exhaust which can be switched with a switch in the cab to make it louder, very loud when switched ! But sounds amazing, just how an American pickup should sound, the video will give you an idea :)
Door handle delete, so looks much cleaner and the doors open on a hidden button, very cool feature which adds to the character of the truck, this is on the drivers door, passenger door you need to open internally but has the fittings if you wanted to install a button for the passenger side.
Everything electrical on the truck works as it should, also has a heater in the cab if you're planning to use it during the winter.
4 previous owners on the logbook, previous owner had it for 10 years. Plenty of paperwork for the works carried out, all import papers etc.
Loads of features and specification on this truck so I am bound to have missed a few points, but feel free to message and I will answer any messages you have.
We're in no rush to sell and ideally would like to keep it but its just not possible at the moment, so no silly offers and we're also not looking to swap as we have too many classic cars at the moment !
