Situated in Northern IrelandOnly 50 of this version of the MG TF were prepared at Longbridge in 2009 to celebrate the 85th Anniversary of the MG Marque in three colours of which 17 were prepared in Pearlescent Ice White.
The project to prepare this special version of the TF was authorised by SAIC for manufacture at Longbridge. In addition to the special paint finish, decals and interior trim including Aubergine leather upholstery, the engine is the latest N version of the old K series with chassis improvements to create the 85th specification listed below:-
1. Bigger diameter Eibach ant-roll-bars (18 to 20mm
rear, 20 to 25mm front)
2. Rubber bushes to suit from Bull Rubber UK.
3. TRW solid ball-joint ARB links to the suspension.
4. Mono-tube rather than twin-tube dampers by
Bilstein (giving a bigger damper area).
5. Spring aids by Bull for a more linear response.
6. Lower wishbone strengthening spacer, tube and
washer by ATP Northampton.
7. “Twist of pepper” wheels in “Liquid
Boron” from Rimstock of Birmingham.
