This beautiful RHD MG TF 1500 was built on the 13th October 1954 and like the majority of 1500 models, was exported to North America. We are pleased to report the car still has its original XPEG engine and in recent years has been subject of a major restoration program. The MG was brought into the UK from Arizona in 2016 and in January 2017 was bought by one of our long term customers based in Scotland.
Having been restored to a high standard between 2014 and 2016, our customer spent hours and hours of careful detailing to take the car to a very high standard. The majority of expense was on the interior, the steering wheel was restored, and the upholstery fully re-trimmed in Red leather with brand new seat frames. The MG was also treated to new lamp assemblies, luggage rack and various detailed items.
734 UYS presents beautifully with a lovely straight, clean body with smart paintwork and excellent chrome. The chassis is excellent, the interior trim exceptional and the engine bay nicely detailed and very well presented. The MG has excellent weather equipment and having covered very little mileage since restoration, it still looks very fresh. On the road our TF is fabulous with a lovely, sweet strong 1500cc engine, strong gearbox with excellent syncromesh and with the recently replaced steering system, firm brakes and overhauled suspension, it handles superbly. The MG has excellent tyres, a superb set of painted wire wheels and is a car ready to use and enjoy.
