Description
Harley-Davidson 1200 Shovelhead Chopper, 1975 "N" reg'.
Here for sale, is my 1975 Shovel chop.
It's a Paughco rigid frame, with a Harley 74 inch (1200) motor, and 4 speed box.
The springer front end is by DNA, with a disc and four piston caliper.
Clutch is a BDL type, with chain primary.
S&S carb'.
I spent a lot of time and money getting this absolutely right.
The engine's really smooth and quiet, although I wasn't happy with it at first, so had
Matt's Engineering put on a new pinion gear and matching cam, that was only slightly
warmer than stock, along with a brand new set of hydraulic lifters.
It then ran, as now, like a Swiss watch.
The ride is as good as any rigid frame bike can be, and the front end works really
well. Rear brake is a disc with a Performance Machine four piston caliper.
It was new in the US, in January of 1975, and was registered here in the UK on the
1st of October 2018, on a '75 "N" plate, and is classed as an historic vehicle on the V5C.
Only reason for selling, is that I hardly use it anymore, and's a shame to keep something
so nice, locked away in the garage. I've only done about 1500 miles on it in the last seven years.
I'm available most times through the week, and if there are any questions, please message the ad'.
Price is £12, 000. Very reluctant sell, just don't use it as much these days. Engine runs really nice with no oil leaks, changed clutch to BDL as original one used to slip. Has electronic ignition fitted. Has kick and electric start. Award winner at National chopper club show.
