NOW LOWERED PRICE ! PRICE IS IN US DOLLARS! 1960 was the last year they raced on the beach at Daytona and the use of 2 sets of handlebars was beneficial for the 2 mile straights and then negotiating the deeply rutted sand at each of two turns for every one of the 100 lap professional race! I purchased this bike over 40 years ago at the estate of legendary bike collector Zachary Reynolds' estate auction . Zachary Reynolds was an heir to the Reynolds tobacco company fortune and was sadly killed at a young age in an aircraft accident . He had a big collection of bikes and cars, all of which were the best available. I am including his personal collection of license plates , and all correspondence he had with the Harley factory with the sale. The bike has all the right stuff conical hubs, magnetic tach, saw blade kill button ! etc etc. The original racer/ owner is not known but Zach had enough money to buy whatever he wanted so it is anyone's guess. It has been in dry heated storage since I let fired it up about 35 years ago ! It has an American title and all correct import papers in my name. I have plenty of experience crating and shipping bikes just about anywhere. The Harley KR engine was probably the greatest development of any flathead engine , motorcycle or automobile. In the late 1960's a 750 cc KR reached 150 mph on the banked Daytona speedway track. Cal Raybourn won Daytona with that KRTT . I ran another KR on the street for 3 years in the early 1980's and it made a superb road bike should you chose to go that route.
