1976 Saab 96V4 - 95219 Miles - Coral White

A Coral White Saab 96 V4 for sale with excellent bodywork and is generally rust free. It’s had 6 previous owners but we believe 3 of these to be within the same family.

The car has been off road between 1997 – 2016 when it was recommissioned by the previous owner and Mot’d. Since then, it has done approx. 7000 Miles (2016 Mot recorded mileage 88282 which is in the file)

We’ve owned it since October 2022 and used little (approx. 300 Miles) due to various family issues occurring and work required which is listed in the parts replaced. In the last couple of years we’ve added a new triple core radiator, thermostat, given it a thorough water flush and cleanse, oil filter also changing the oil (also flushing this system), added a new petrol filter, changed the head gasket, changed the gaskets on the master slave cylinder and added a new master cylinder tank.

There will also be the standard box of bits in the boot. Also included is an original Saab service manual.

Since it has been recommissioned, these are the parts that have been replaced that we know about and have invoices for:

• 2023 – New Head Gasket
• 2023 – New Radiator and Water Pump
• 2023 – New Petrol and Oil Filter
• 2023 – New Water Thermostat
• 2025 – New Clutch Master Cylinder Gasket Replacement
• 2025 – New Clutch Master Cylinder Tank Replacement

Drives well locally but if purchased at a distance from York (further than 30 miles) we would advise a trailer to take it away.

This car currently doesn’t have a MOT as it’s a classic car and legally doesn’t need one to be on the road. Its last passed MOT was when we bought it in September 2022, this came with one advisory: Offside Rear Outer Suspension component mounting prescribed area is corroded but not considered excessive sill. This has not been addressed as the car is working and driving as normal.

Please note that this car has been on sale twice before by us but was withdrawn, the first time due to overheating issues which we have solved via replacing the head gasket and now does not boil in traffic, the second time due to the inability to change gear which we have solved by replacing the master cylinder gaskets and tank (The Clutch was replaced in 2017 and has 5000 miles on it approx.)
